(14/05/10) For the production of steel frames for hospital beds a PRO-D 1600 with four gun connections is used. Without time-consuming retooling different welding studs are welded with different welding methods with this multi-gun unit.
Three stud welding guns PHM-10 (equipped for welding with shielding gas) as well as one stud welding gun PHM-12 (equipped for welding with ceramic ferrule) are operated on the unit. For each gun connection the exact welding parameters for the respective stud are stored in the unit. The unit automatically detects which gun is used and sets up the previously stored welding parameters.
